Hollywood

It’s a unique business.  Lots of people try it.  Only a very few know the key to success with it.

Each of the rates represents a complete and fully professional photo shoot, nothing is left out. All the consultations are included.

During the initial consultation, we discuss who you are and who and what you are presenting. Our photo shoot makes you look your best. Remember, however, this is NOT a fashion shoot. Head shots are especially for actors and casting. Executive portraits are for CEO’s or other corporate executives.  And as usual with Executives, the resume tells them what you can do and what you have done. The photograph explains clearly who you are.

With the Standard Natural Light Location shoot there can be 4 to 6 changes if needed with up to 50 shots each. We can discuss clothing, colors and designs in our consultation. Remember, you are only going to need two or three of these compelling pictures of yourself.

If you decide you do not want film and only want digital, the decision will save you the extra costs of lab, film and prints.  All the Digital pictures will be sent by me to you directly by email and can go into your computer files, and you can choose which ones you want to enlarge or send to the agent of your choice.

All extra expenses (hair or makeup) must be approved and signed off by you.  All final pictures will be signed off as accepted by you.

There are two other more expensive photo shoots beside the head shot.  Please review the different options below.

See Considering Hair, Make up or Wardrobe Stylist

If you need a full day shoot for publicity shots or promotion, let's discuss further what would best suit your needs.

These Additional Expenses are at your cost such as hair, make up, wardrobe assistance, etc. You negotiate the fee with each artist.  Typically, these extra expenses are not necessary for a simple headshot and are more for longer day shoots.  You will receive a list of items for preparing you for make-up, hair styling and an appropriate wardrobe depending on the shoot.

Depending on the choice of shooting schedule, I have a roster of both hair stylists and makeup artists and some of them will do both hair and make-up.  You can decide if you need someone to come and do styling and then they leave or hire an artist who stays for the entire shoot - the cost can range around $150 for the makeup artist who just does a styling job and leaves.  For the artist who stays for the entire shoot and changes whatever you need during the entire day of shooting, their fee is agreed upon by you.  You choose and schedule the artist before the scheduled day of shooting.  You pay them directly.

Whichever hair/makeup artist you need, you can choose your own or we can recommend different ones the studio uses, it all depends on what you want or need.

In all the studio shoots, you will usually have a hair stylist and makeup artist for the full day at the artist’s rate.  Usually, the studio shoots are a full day, sometimes as much as 10 hours or more.  Please be prepared for a long day.  A full day in the studio – it is there if we need the time.

All extra Hair and Makeup personnel must be paid up front.  If you need a wardrobe manager or someone to help you dress, there is an extensive selection here in Hollywood.

All scheduled photo shoots require a 60% deposit at the time shoot is scheduled with balance due the day of the shoot.

Any Studio Shoots and all expenses require a 60% deposit at the time of scheduling, and balance due 10 days before the scheduled shoot.

The studio requires that any cancellation requires a forfeit of the 60% deposit due to the studio being unable to book another shoot within our scheduled block of time.
